Shreeji Shipping signs charter agreement for coastal vessel deployment

Shreeji Shipping Global has signed a Time Charter Party Agreement with AMNS Shipping and Logistics for the deployment of its vessel MV Sanghi Sudarshan for coastal cargo movement along the Indian coastline.

The agreement was signed on September 7, 2026. Under the agreement, the vessel will be delivered at APS Hazira and will operate along the Indian coastline, subject to the agreed terms and conditions.

MV Sanghi Sudarshan is an approximately 4,400 DWT all-weather coastal vessel with a draft of around 4.5 metres. Its low draft allows it to operate at ports and locations with draft limitations.

The vessel was originally built to carry clinker cargo and has been modified by Shreeji Shipping to meet the specific requirements of its customer. The modifications include strengthening and the required class certifications for cargo operations.

The deployment follows the company's earlier move into long-term coastal cargo movement through MV SJ LILY, operated by its wholly owned subsidiary Shreeji Global IFSC under a Time Charter Party Agreement with AMNS Shipping and Logistics.

The vessel uses VLSFO fuel oil instead of diesel, which the company said provides an operating cost advantage. Its ICV status also provides operational flexibility on certain routes, supporting voyage planning and potentially reducing nautical miles sailed and voyage duration.

Shreeji Shipping said the vessel's cargo capacity, shallow-draft capability, fuel efficiency, ICV status and customer-specific configuration make it suited for coastal transportation. The company also said it remains focused on identifying further opportunities in coastal movement and maritime logistics.
