July 11, 2018: A leading Indian transformers manufacturer recently chose Bolloré Logistics India to ensure the shipment of four sets of transformers along with their accessories to Australia.

Bolloré Logistics India’s project team had been inquired by its client on providing a reliable and efficient Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping solution, including the unloading on the plinth, for their four transformers and related accessories. The equipment was requested to be shipped from Ex-Mumbai port (India) to Kelso, Strathmore and Teebar power sub stations, in Australia.

One 125 Megavolt Ampere (MVA) transformer set was shipped to Kelso with a 108 Motor Tanker heavy lift vessel, two 65 MVA transformer sets were shipped to Strathmore with a two 70 Motor Tanker heavy lift vessels, and one 65 MVA transformer set was shipped to Teebar with a 70 Motor Tanker heavy lift vessels.

The success of the operation was also supported by Bolloré Logistics Australia, which professionally handled the cargo at respective ports of destination and successfully arranged the delivery of the cargo on each sites.

Despite some challenges related to site access, the Australian’s team managed to secure the suitable equipment such as Gantry Jack system and heavy lift mobile crane in order to ensure a safe unloading of the cargo.
