Ravish Kumar Singh assumes charge as Deputy Chairperson of JNPA

His experience spans traffic management, operational planning and efficiency-led initiatives in high-density corridors.;

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority announced the appointment of Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, as the new Deputy Chairperson of the port. Singh assumed charge in the presence of senior officials and department heads.

During his interaction with the JNPA leadership team, Singh said he looked forward to contributing to the growth of the organisation and outlined his focus on improving efficiency, sustainability and global competitiveness.

Singh holds an engineering degree and has served across key roles in the Indian Railways. He has been the Deputy Chief Operations Manager, Central Railway, since September 2023 and has worked in operational functions across the South East Central and Central Railway zones. His experience spans traffic management, operational planning and efficiency-led initiatives in high-density corridors.

He has also worked in the private sector with Infosys Technologies, Steel Authority of India and NTPC, adding an industry-orientated and technology-linked perspective to his profile. JNPA stated that his multi-sectoral background is expected to support the port’s efforts to enhance operations, strengthen digital processes and advance future expansion.
