fastrr by Shiprocket enters food commerce with two restaurant brands
The platform will offer tools for customer engagement, personalised marketing and repeat orders, while helping restaurants develop their own digital ordering channels.
fastrr by Shiprocket has entered the food commerce segment through partnerships with Vegorama Group, which operates Punjabi Angithi, and Bikkgane Biryani. The partnerships aim to help the restaurant brands increase repeat orders, strengthen customer relationships and build their own digital ordering channels.
The expansion marks fastrr’s entry into the restaurant and food delivery ecosystem, extending its direct-to-consumer commerce capabilities to food businesses. The platform aims to help restaurants attract customers to their own digital channels, convert orders and encourage repeat purchases while supporting the delivery experience.
As online food ordering becomes more important to restaurant businesses, brands are seeking ways to build direct relationships with customers. Restaurants that rely heavily on third-party food aggregators often have limited control over customer relationships and fewer opportunities to engage diners beyond individual transactions.
The partnerships cover two food categories in Delhi NCR, vegetarian North Indian cuisine and biryani. Vegorama Group, which operates Punjabi Angithi, is listed on the BSE and generates a significant share of its revenue through online delivery.
Through fastrr Identity and fastrr Signals, the brands will be able to identify potential and returning customers and flag possible return-to-origin (RTO) and cash-on-delivery (COD) risks before an order is placed.
fastrr Ads will support performance campaigns optimised for delivered orders, while its WhatsApp tools will help recover abandoned orders and send personalised offers and reorder reminders. The offering also includes influencer-led campaigns for Vegorama Group and packaging and design support for both brands.
The partners also plan to explore direct-to-consumer food products through their own websites and quick-commerce platforms.
Gaurav Mangla, CEO of Ads and Checkout at Shiprocket, said the expansion would help restaurants build lasting customer relationships and encourage repeat business. He added that fastrr aims to give brands greater control over customer engagement while strengthening their digital presence and supporting new growth opportunities.
Deepak Chadha, Founder of Punjabi Angithi and Vegorama Group, said the partnership would support the restaurant group's digital growth through marketing initiatives and an improved online ordering experience. He added that the group also plans to explore new food products and formats to reach customers beyond its existing restaurant business.
Praveen Valmiki, Founder of Bikkgane Biryani, said the partnership would help strengthen the brand's digital ordering experience and create a more consistent customer journey, from menu discovery to delivery.
For consumers, the platform aims to simplify direct ordering through a checkout experience that reduces the need to re-enter details, along with live delivery tracking from the nearest outlet. Personalised offers and WhatsApp reminders will help customers discover deals and reorder their favourite meals. Direct channels will also provide access to brand menus and loyalty programmes, with exclusive direct-to-consumer products planned over time.
fastrr by Shiprocket plans to extend its food commerce offering to more restaurant chains, quick-service restaurants and cloud kitchens. It is also exploring adjacent categories, including bakeries, desserts, beverages and packaged foods.
Its roadmap includes food-specific features such as menu-aware checkout, loyalty programmes, reorder reminders and peak-hour delivery allocation. The expansion builds on Shiprocket's broader commerce capabilities, bringing customer engagement, marketing and fulfilment together to help food businesses develop their own digital channels.
