Logistics startup Bharat Supply has announced an expansion across Central India with plans to establish 40 new distribution centres across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and neighboring states.
The expansion targets key regional nodes and rural clusters, including Shahdol, Balaghat, Neemuch, Unnao, Jhansi, and Prayagraj. According to the press release, these facilities will serve as hyperlocal hubs, streamlining the flow of essential goods to small retailers, agri-input dealers, and rural micro-entrepreneurs.
Taranbir Singh, CEO of Bharat Supply said, "Central India represents one of the country’s most dynamic non-metro consumption corridors, yet supply fragmentation continues to limit the full potential of local markets."
"By expanding our footprint, we are strengthening daily access to essential goods while generating meaningful employment," he added.
The new hub's primary functions include daily fulfillment, which involves breaking down bulk shipments into retailer-ready orders, and inventory management, maintaining local stock to prevent shortages particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and agricultural sectors.
Additionally, the hubs provide localised support, coordinating delivery teams and offering on-the-spot resolution for returns or complex logistics issues.
By positioning these centers closer to underserved markets, Bharat Supply aims to eliminate the last-mile bottleneck, ensuring faster and more reliable delivery for both traditional brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce customers, release added.
The company intends to continue scaling its workforce and facility count as its network deepens across the central corridor.
The move is set to boost the region’s supply chain infrastructure and is expected to generate employment for more than 500 local youth. The company said that hiring is already underway for various roles, including delivery personnel, warehouse management, operations, and partner support.
