Vishal Sharma to lead Schenker India as CEO – India & Indian Sub-continent

May 10, 2018: Schenker India, part of logistics giant DB Schenker, has roped in Vishal Sharma as new chief executive officer – India and the Indian sub-continent, with effect from May 2 this year. He succeeds Oliver Bohm who has moved into new role as Europe chief commercial officer after spending 20 years in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

May 10, 2018: Schenker India, part of logistics giant DB Schenker, has roped in Vishal Sharma as new chief executive officer – India and the Indian sub-continent, with effect from May 2 this year. He succeeds Oliver Bohm who has moved into new role as Europe chief commercial officer after spending 20 years in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Sharma would be reporting to Ditlev Blicher, CEO, DB Schenker in APAC.

With over 17 years of experience with Maersk, Sharma held various strategic leadership roles in Europe & Asia, and is also well versed in the 3PL and SCM Industry, where he in particular was Area CEO for India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka of a 3PL.

Apart from this, he also has a wealth of entrepreneurial experience in start-ups and business incubation.

Vishal holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, and has a strong interest in technology solutions in fields such as analytics and SaaS.
