Hong Kong to host Maritime Week 2025 with push for greener logistics
Hong Kong Maritime Week 2025 takes place from Nov 16–22 with 50+ events, spotlighting sustainability and the city’s role as a global maritime hub.;
Hong Kong Maritime Week (HKMW) 2025 will take place from November 16 to 22, marking the ninth edition of the annual industry event. This year’s programme is the first to be held following the establishment of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board (HKMPDB) on July 1, 2025.
Themed “Navigating to a Greener Future” with the tagline “Propel Hong Kong”, HKMW 2025 will highlight the city’s role as a global maritime centre and provide a platform for international stakeholders to discuss developments in shipping, ports, and logistics. The week will feature more than 50 events organised by over 70 local, mainland Chinese, and international organisations.
The event’s key activities include the Opening Ceremony; the HKMPDB Flagship Session – Hong Kong: A Global Maritime Capital; the World Maritime Merchants Forum 2025; the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference; the Hong Kong Global Maritime Trade Summit; the TradeWinds Ship Recycling Forum 2025; and the International Bunker Industry Association Annual Convention, which will be held in Hong Kong for the first time. The International Maritime Organization will host sessions on energy transition and ship recycling investment.
