mjunction appoints Tata Steel group director Rajiv Mukerji as new chairman

mjunction is a 50:50 venture promoted by Steel Authority of India Limited and Tata Steel.

November 4, 2019: mjunction services limited, one of the largest B2B e-commerce company in India, on Friday announced the appointment of Rajiv Mukerji, group director, strategic procurement, Tata Steel as the new chairman.

Mukerji has over 32 years of experience in Tata Steel. Thereafter, he has worked in various divisions of the company including International Trade and Shipping and Logistics. In 2007, he was appointed as the managing director of Tata NYK Shipping in Singapore before moving into his current role in November 2013.

Mukerji said, “I look forward to leading a dynamic organisation such as mjunction, which is a pioneer and leader in B2B e-commerce.”

He is a Bachelor of Arts from Calcutta University and has completed management programs from IIM-A and INSEAD, France. He takes the mantle from outgoing chairman A K Rath.

mjunction services limited is a 50:50 venture promoted by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Tata Steel. Founded in February 2001, it is one of the largest e-marketplaces for steel with e-transaction worth over Rs8,06,402 crore till 2019.
