Western Carriers (India) Limited (WCIL) has secured a work order worth ₹558 crore from Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL). The three-year contract will involve dispatching slabs, coils, and sheet plates in DSO containers to multiple destinations across India. The order was awarded to WCIL to manage logistics operations across the country.
The contract builds on an existing relationship between WCIL and JSL. It will see WCIL handle critical logistics for JSL’s manufacturing and metals operations. The work will span a pan-India network and be carried out over three years.
“This is a prestigious mandate that reinforces our capabilities in managing large-scale, mission-critical logistics operations across India. We remain committed to delivering efficient and quality services to support the domestic industrial ecosystem,” said Rajendra Sethia, Chairman and Managing Director, Western Carriers (India) Limited.
The deal positions WCIL as a preferred logistics partner for large Indian corporates. The company said it will continue to focus on scalable and integrated logistics offerings across road, rail, water, and air transport.
Founded in 1972 and incorporated under WCIL in 2013, Western Carriers operates as an asset-light logistics firm with a technology-enabled, multi-modal supply chain model.
