MV GHT MARINAS berths at VOC Port with 103 windmill blades
The vessel’s arrival marks another milestone in VOC Port’s renewable energy handling operations.;
V.O. Chidambaranar Port, Tuticorin, announced the successful berthing of MV GHT MARINAS, a heavy-lift and multipurpose vessel, at its Additional Berth. The vessel arrived from Qinzhou, China, carrying an import consignment of 103 windmill blades—measuring 76.8 metres and 89.5 metres for Envision Energy India Private Limited.
Vessel agency, stevedoring, customs house agency, and ground transportation are being managed by NTC Logistics India Pvt. Ltd. The operation highlights VOC Port’s continued focus on supporting India’s renewable energy infrastructure with precision and efficiency.
This development follows the port’s recent achievements that reaffirm its strong growth momentum. On 30 October 2025, VOC Port crossed the milestone of handling 5 lakh TEUs in the current financial year, an 8.84% rise over the same period last year. In October 2025 alone, the port handled 72,615 TEUs compared to 58,123 TEUs in October 2024, reflecting a growth of 24.93%.
The port has also recorded a 61% surge in handling windmill blades and accessories, with volumes reaching 2,300 units up to October 2025, compared to 1,425 units during the same period last year. This growth underscores VOC Port’s expanding role in promoting sustainable trade and renewable energy logistics in India.
