Air India ups number of flights to meet summer demand

May 23, 2019: To meet the demand during summer holidays, national carrier Air India has said that various new flights would begin starting June 1, on the domestic and international routes.

The airline will offer additional 3,500 seats each per week on the Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai and Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai routes from June 1 and 2, respectively.

May 23, 2019: To meet the demand during summer holidays, national carrier Air India has said it will fly various new flights starting June 1, on the domestic and international routes.

The airline will offer additional 3,500 seats each per week on the Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai and Mumbai-Dubai-Mumbai routes from June 1 and 2, respectively. On the latter route, Air India will operate two new flights using its B787 Dreamliner aircraft.

"The airline will offer one way Economy class promotional fare of Rs 7,777 (all inclusive) from both Delhi and Mumbai to Dubai for sale and travel up to July 31, 2019," Air India said in a statement.

"The number of flights on Delhi-Bhopal-Delhi will be increased from present 14 flights per week to 20 flights per week by introducing third frequency to the historical city of Tals," the statement added.

Flights on the Delhi-Raipur-Delhi route have been increased from the existing seven flights per week to 14 flights per week. In addition, the number of flights per week would be increased on routes such as Delhi-Bengaluru-Delhi, Delhi-Amritsar-Delhi, Chennai-Ahmedabad-Chennai, Delhi-Vadodara-Delhi, Mumbai-Vizag-Mumbai and Chennai-Kolkata-Chennai.
