DTDC, India Post partner to expand reach to 9,000+ pin codes
MoU operational in 21 states boosts delivery efficiency, improving access for MSMEs and consumers in remote regions nationwide.
DTDC Express has entered into a strategic collaboration with India Post to strengthen logistics infrastructure and expand delivery reach across the country, with the partnership already operational across 21 states and adding serviceability to more than 9,000 pin codes.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on April 27 in New Delhi by Neeraj Kumar Jha, General Manager, Parcel Directorate, Department of Posts, and Abhishek Chakraborty, Chief Executive Officer, DTDC. The signing took place in the presence of Jatinder Sethi, National Channel Head, DTDC; Prashant Thakur, Head Cross Border, DTDC; and Neha Bagchi, Head of Marketing, DTDC.
The collaboration combines India Post’s extensive nationwide network with DTDC’s technology-driven logistics capabilities to create a more comprehensive and efficient delivery system. It aims to improve accessibility and consistency in logistics, particularly as consumption and commerce expand beyond metropolitan areas.
According to the release, the partnership is designed to enable faster and more reliable deliveries across underserved and remote regions, reducing geographical limitations for businesses and consumers. The expansion in pin code coverage is expected to enhance delivery efficiency and network reliability.
The agreement also reflects a broader shift towards a more integrated logistics model in India, bringing together traditional reach and modern infrastructure to strengthen the overall logistics ecosystem.
For businesses, including MSMEs, D2C brands and enterprises, the collaboration provides access to wider markets and improved delivery performance, supporting their ability to scale operations. For consumers, it is expected to result in more consistent delivery services, with fewer delays and improved access to products across both urban and remote locations.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO, DTDC Express, said the collaboration represents a move towards a more unified logistics architecture that integrates scale, reach and efficiency to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers.
The release added that the partnership supports the growing need for seamless logistics infrastructure in an increasingly connected and consumption-driven economy, positioning last-mile delivery as an enabler of growth.
