Flipkart opens Ekart logistics network to MSMEs and D2C brands
Businesses can now access Ekart's warehousing, franchise network and logistics technology, with over 300 outlets already operational and more planned.
Ekart, the Flipkart Group's supply chain arm, has opened its pan-India logistics network to businesses across India, giving MSMEs, D2C brands, FMCG companies and enterprises access to the same logistics infrastructure that supports the Flipkart Group. The expansion includes a new franchise model and dedicated warehousing capabilities, allowing businesses of all sizes to use Ekart's technology, nationwide reach and fulfilment network.
The company said it has built a growing portfolio of external customers over the past few years across retail, MSMEs, D2C brands and B2B businesses. Building on this, Ekart is expanding access through two new offerings: a franchise model that connects businesses to its nationwide delivery network and dedicated warehousing infrastructure that provides end-to-end fulfilment support.
Under the franchise model, MSMEs and small businesses can send shipments through Ekart's national logistics network without developing their own logistics infrastructure. The network currently has more than 300 outlets across Surat, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru and is expected to expand to more than 1,000 outlets by the end of 2026. Businesses using the network will also have access to Ekart's technology, including real-time shipment tracking and AI-powered address resolution.
Ekart has also opened more than one million square feet of dedicated warehousing space for brands seeking end-to-end fulfilment services. Additional capacity is being added across Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. According to the company, these facilities are designed to reduce delivery turnaround times by positioning inventory closer to customers, while AI-powered demand forecasting helps businesses optimise inventory placement and stock distribution across regions.
For B2B customers, Ekart operates a dedicated hub network for bulk and consolidated freight across sectors including automotive, engineering goods, FMCG and retail. The network also offers services such as Open Box Delivery, which allows customers to verify products at the time of delivery, and Any Day Delivery, which provides flexibility in delivery scheduling.
Mani Bhushan, Chief Business Officer, Ekart, said, "Over the past few years, thousands of retail, MSME, D2C and global brands have trusted Ekart's logistics network and technology to reliably scale their businesses across India. Building on that experience, we are now expanding access to our network through our franchise model and dedicated end-to-end fulfilment capabilities. This reflects our confidence in India's commercial opportunity and the Flipkart Group's long-term commitment to building the infrastructure that Indian businesses need to compete and grow. We believe every business, regardless of size, deserves access to a national market, and this expansion is designed to make that possible."
Ekart currently reaches more than 95% of Indian pincodes across over 80 product categories. The company said the expansion will allow businesses of all sizes to use its logistics network to serve customers more efficiently, scale operations and reach markets across the country.
