Marking 15 years of operations in India, Delhivery has announced the launch of "Vishram Centers," a nationwide network of more than 1,000 rest facilities designed to support delivery personnel.

The open-access facilities will be available to all delivery associates, regardless of the platform, company, or sector they work for. The initiative aims to provide delivery workers with convenient spaces to rest and recharge during their workday.

Prashant Gazipur, Chief Operating Officer, Operations at Delhivery, said, "Delivery associates are the backbone of this industry and have to routinely navigate demanding physical conditions such as weather, traffic, and poor quality road infrastructure. Our 'Vishram' centers are aimed to become more than just a physical shelter - they represent a hard-earned pause, comfort, and dignity for India’s mobile workforce”.

As part of its newly launched network, Delhivery is providing delivery associates with dedicated rest facilities designed to offer comfort, safety, and support during demanding work shifts.

The centers are fully operational and serve as safe shelters during heavy rainfall, extreme weather conditions, and late-night delivery hours. Delivery personnel can access seating areas, air coolers or fans, clean washrooms, and safe drinking water, allowing them to take breaks between delivery runs.

To support the needs of a mobile workforce, each facility is equipped with multiple charging points for mobile devices and stocked with first-aid kits to address minor injuries and medical emergencies. Delhivery also plans to introduce an “Ask for Help” feature within its app, enabling delivery associates to quickly request roadside assistance for medical issues or vehicle breakdowns.

The company has also digitised the check-in and check-out process to ensure ease of access. Delivery associates can enter and exit the facilities by scanning a QR code and verifying their phone number, creating a seamless, paperless experience. According to Delhivery, the digital system will help maintain safety standards, monitor facility usage, and support hygiene management across the network.
