Adani Ports launches Inland Container Depot at Malur near Bengaluru

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) launched its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Malur near Bengaluru, marking the start of operations of a new logistics facility aimed at improving rail- and road-based cargo movement for South India.

"We marked a significant milestone with the launch of Adani ICD Malur in Bengaluru, celebrated in the presence of 250+ valued customers and partners, " wrote Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director and CEO, APSEZ, on LinkedIn

The ICD Malur is located on the Bengaluru–Chennai railway main line near Malur station and has its own rail siding, along with road connectivity via NE7 and NH44. The facility is connected to ports including Adani Kattupalli, Ennore, Vizhinjam, Chennai and JNPT.

Spread across 30 acres, with 21 additional acres planned for expansion, the ICD includes terminal operating systems, gate operating systems, control towers, warehousing and on-site customs clearance. The location provides access to industrial clusters in Karnataka and the nearby regions of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
