Flipkart has expanded its supply chain network across India, adding new fulfilment centres and last-mile hubs in Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra and Agartala. Covering 35 lakh sq. ft. and reaching more than 21,000 pincodes, the expansion comes ahead of The Big Billion Days 2025, ensuring faster deliveries and generating over 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs across the country.
In Uttar Pradesh, Flipkart opened facilities in Varanasi, Agra and Ghaziabad, while Bihar’s Patna received a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. fulfilment centre serving over 1,000 pincodes and creating more than 1,100 jobs. In Haryana, the new Regional Distribution Centre in Manesar, spread across 140 acres, is expected to provide over 10,000 jobs and handle a wide range of products, including furniture and white goods. Expanding its reach in the Northeast, Flipkart also launched its first grocery fulfilment centre in Agartala with a daily dispatch capacity of 5,000 orders.
The company has also strengthened last-mile reach in other regions by opening new facilities in Guwahati, Singur and Saidham. With these additions, Flipkart now operates more than 100 fulfilment centres across India, capable of handling millions of festive orders.
Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President and Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience & Re-Commerce at Flipkart Group, said the expanded infrastructure not only boosts delivery speed but also creates inclusive job opportunities. He highlighted that the 2.2 lakh+ seasonal jobs include a strong focus on hiring women, persons with disabilities and first-time workers.
Alongside large fulfilment centres, Flipkart is building its quick commerce backbone with nearly 400 new micro-fulfilment centres and dark stores across 19 cities. This supports Flipkart Minutes, which has been doubling order volumes every 45 days, enabling faster delivery of essentials and festive products.
To support its workforce during the busy season, Ekart, in partnership with NReach Online Services Limited, has launched health camps under its Suraksha wellness programme. These camps will serve more than 6,000 warehouse associates with screenings for conditions such as diabetes, kidney and liver diseases, and cardiac issues. In 2025, Suraksha has already supported 1.7 lakh associates and facilitated over 18 lakh minutes of doctor consultations.
With its wider network, Flipkart aims to strengthen festive supply chains, empower regional economies, and deliver affordable and faster shopping experiences for customers across India during The Big Billion Days 2025.
