Kamal Nath portrays Madhya Pradesh as India’s future warehouse hub at Davos

January 25, 2020: While looking for potential investors at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum at Davos, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath has presented as a state that will soon emerge as India's warehousing hub.

“Since Madhya Pradesh is geographically located at the centre of the country, it will develop into a logistics hub in the near future. This will help the state become warehousing hub,” he said.

MP to host warehouses of Walmart, Amazon and Reliance

The recent reports stated that Walmart’s national head & strategic business head and Amazon India’s business head are all scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh while Reliance MD Mukesh Ambani already committed Rs 400 crore investment, particularly, to set up national distribution centres and warehouses in the state for their retail businesses in the country.

Antonio Neri, president & CEO, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Division; Magesvaran Suranjan, president, Procter & Gamble Asia Pacific, Middle East Africa; Abidali Neemuchwala, CEO & managing director, Wipro; Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines, Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, president & managing director; VPS Health Care Group and Andreas Bilkert, founder, 2000 W had one-to-one discussion with the chief minister.

The chief minister discussed topics related to setting up a data centre, hardware manufacturing and setting up an IT park with Antonio Neri of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Division. Neri talked about hardware manufacturing and IT service operations at IT Park in Madhya Pradesh.
