APM Terminals Pipavav to prioritise Covid relief supplies in transit

The objective of this service is to facilitate the transportation of the Covid relief material at the earliest to ensure it reaches to the community on time to save precious lives.

May 10, 2021: APM Terminals Pipavav has issued an advisory to all its customers informing them to prioritise all Covid relief material in transit.

The advisory reads, “We are fighting a major pandemic and it is our endeavour to extend all possible support to our customers and community at large to fight this battle together. As per the guidance from the Government of India, we hereby announce that any container/cargo carrying the Covid relief material which may include test kits, PPE sets, oxygen, oxygen concentrator etc. will be moved on priority at the port Pipavav. That includes unloading the cargo from the vessel, due diligence and paperwork, loading on the rail/truck and exiting the port in the quickest possible time. Please ensure to attach the copy of the bill of lading (BOL) with your request to ensure smooth movement of the cargo at the port.”

“The objective of this service is to facilitate the transportation of the Covid relief material at the earliest to ensure it reaches the community on time to save precious lives,” it added.
