Maersk has appointed Scott Elliott as Regional President for Asia Pacific, formalising his leadership of one of the world’s most strategically important trade regions after he served in the role on an interim basis since January 2026. The appointment was announced as Maersk continues to strengthen its presence across Asia Pacific, with Elliott bringing more than three decades of experience in finance, logistics and general management to support the company’s regional growth ambitions and customer operations.

Elliott had been leading the Asia Pacific business on an interim basis since January 2026 while also transitioning from his previous role as Regional Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific, a position he assumed after joining Maersk in 2020.

Before joining Maersk, Elliott served as President and Division CFO, Global Forwarding at Toll Global in Singapore. He also held senior finance and management positions at CEVA Logistics across multiple international markets including the United States, China, the Netherlands and Australia.

His experience spans operational execution, commercial strategy and financial leadership across major global trade corridors, positioning him to lead Maersk’s next phase of growth in Asia Pacific.

Commenting on the appointment, Elliott said Asia Pacific remains central to global trade and a key pillar of Maersk’s long-term strategy.

“Asia Pacific is the world’s largest regional economy, key to global trade and central to Maersk’s growth ambitions. It’s an honour to work with our exceptional team, customers and partners across the region. We have built strong momentum together, and I look forward to deepening those relationships and supporting our customers’ growth,” Elliott said.

Maersk said the process of appointing a permanent Regional Head of Finance for Asia Pacific is currently underway.

A.P. Moller – Maersk operates as an integrated logistics company focused on connecting and simplifying global supply chains. The company serves customers in more than 130 countries and employs approximately 100,000 people worldwide.
