Allcargo Logistics unveils domestic strategy to power quick-commerce boom
Across its e-commerce and quick-commerce operations, the company currently handles over 10 million packages every month and a 25-30% increase during the festive season.

Allcargo Logistics has signaled a shift in its domestic supply chain strategy, unveiling a restructured organisational framework designed to boost the evolving e-commerce and quick-commerce landscapes. By integrating sorting, fulfillment, and specialised mid-mile execution, the logistics giant is positioning itself as the backbone of India’s deepening consumption story.
The company’s operations have reached proportions, now processing over 10 million packages monthly. This volume surges by nearly 30% during festive peaks, creating a significant ripple effect for the blue-collar job market.
To support this scale, Allcargo has moved beyond a metro-centric model, adopting a multi-city network that penetrates deep into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
“As consumption patterns evolve and e-commerce scales beyond metros, logistics must function as a structured and reliable backbone,” said Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & CEO of Allcargo Logistics. “Our focus remains on building integrated networks and disciplined mid-mile execution that enable consistent service delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.”
Allcargo's strategic expansion is strongly supported by the integration of advanced technology, such as warehouse management systems (WMS) for real-time inventory visibility, and a focus on operational efficiency through route optimisation and network planning to maximise the utility of their vehicles and infrastructure.
Their market dominance is further cemented by deep-rooted strategic partnerships, including managing 95% of a major European furniture conglomerate's logistics across key Indian hubs and providing end-to-end network designing and B2C engagement for a leading Indian hypermarket retailer in the quick-commerce segment.
A focus of this growth is the newly launched Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, which has bolstered infrastructure by expanding transshipment centres from 21 to 71.
This network now provides universal coverage, reaching 100% of India’s available PIN codes, increasing mapped locations from 21,000 to over 32,000, and doubling direct serviceable PIN codes to over 10,000 via Allcargo distribution centres.
