Teleport, Southeast Asia’s integrated eCommerce logistics specialist, has been appointed as the Exclusive General Sales Agent (GSA) for China Central Longhao Airlines Co. Ltd, also known as Air Central China. The appointment marks a significant expansion of Teleport’s cross-border cargo footprint and builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two companies at the Zhengzhou–Kuala Lumpur ‘Air Silk Road’ Forum in September 2025.

Under the agreement, Teleport will commercially manage Air Central China’s dedicated freighter operations from India, with twice-weekly services from Chennai (MAA) and Delhi (DEL) to Zhengzhou (CGO). The first flight under this arrangement is scheduled to take off on 5 January 2026, providing Indian exporters with direct access into one of China’s key logistics hubs.

Commenting on the development, Pete Chareonwongsak, Chief Executive Officer of Teleport, said, “We appreciate Air Central China’s vote of confidence in appointing Teleport as their exclusive GSA in India – we take that as a validation of our regional and operational experience to commercially manage their freighter capacity from India into China. For Teleport, this further strengthens our Teleport Network by expanding new capacity for us with direct access from India into the heart of China. What makes this stronger is the direct onward connections into key cities in China from CGO, such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen, among others, which opens up more direct market access for businesses in India to seamlessly distribute their cargo across China.”

Beyond Zhengzhou, the partnership enables extended cargo connectivity to major domestic destinations across China, including Shanghai (PVG), Shenzhen (SZX), Beijing (PEK), Guangzhou (CAN), Qingdao (TAO), Tianjin (TSN), Dalian (DLC), Chongqing (CKG) and Xiamen (XMN). Shipments will move under a single through-Air Waybill (AWB), offering shippers a streamlined, end-to-end logistics solution.

The new freighter capacity comes at a time when trade flows between India and China remain significant. China ranked as India’s fifth-largest export destination in FY25, accounting for approximately 3.29 percent of the country’s total exports. Teleport expects the routes to support a broad mix of general cargo, pharmaceuticals and perishable goods, sectors that increasingly rely on reliable and time-definite air freight connectivity.

With this appointment, Teleport continues to strengthen its role as a regional cargo network orchestrator, linking South Asia with key consumption and manufacturing centres across China.
