DP World’s Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) reported its highest-ever monthly performance in August 2025 by handling 1,42,273 TEUs, surpassing its earlier record of 1,38,983 TEUs achieved in March 2025. The milestone reinforces Mundra’s role as a vital trade gateway for India.

The terminal’s growing international connectivity has been key to this achievement, with direct links to major global markets across the Far East, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the United States. This expansion continues to strengthen supply chain resilience for Indian businesses and supports the country’s global trade ambitions.

Alok Mishra, CEO, Ports & Terminals, DP World Mundra, said the accomplishment highlights customer confidence and the dedication of teams. He emphasised that optimising efficiency and expanding trade connectivity ensure the terminal remains a key hub for regional trade flows. He also pointed to the company’s commitment to delivering value through reliable services, sustainable practices, and world-class infrastructure.

DP World Mundra is equipped with a 632-metre quay and deep draft to accommodate large vessels. It operates a 50-acre Container Freight Station and benefits from dedicated rail connectivity within the terminal, providing smooth cargo movement. In a significant step towards sustainability, the terminal has transitioned all container handling equipment, forklifts, and light vehicles to electric power. This has cut diesel use and lowered annual carbon emissions, reflecting DP World’s push for greener logistics and a sustainable trade ecosystem in India.
