June 14, 2021: The pioneer in logistics and supply chain solutions for automobile transportation, Chetak Group, is using rail and road transport modes to deliver 430 customised Tata Xenon ambulances from Tata’s plant in Dharwad to various military hospitals located at widely spread defense locations including Jammu, Prayagraj, Guwahati, New Delhi and Durgapur.
"Equipped with over 2400 customised vehicles, Chetak has an impressive clientele of industry leaders in automobiles since its inception. These include all major national and global automobile brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Hyundai, JCB, Kia, and Honda, among others," reports The Economic Times.
The Delhi-based Group has 60 offices and branches in the major industrial hubs in the country.
Mukesh Haritash, director, Chetak Group, said, “We are proud to cross this significant milestone as Chetak Group debuts into the rail and multi-modal transportation segment. We cannot visualize a better way to enter the segment, than transporting Tata‘s ambulances for the Defense forces, traveling across many states on rail and road. The credit for this achievement goes to our dedicated team and to the outstanding relationship we maintain with our clients."
"The transportation of ambulances gains significance, especially during the current situation when the country is strengthening its campaign against Covid-19. Over the last 18 months, the Chetak Group has helped in transporting essential commodities across the country," he added.
