Saudia Cargo recommences Mumbai, Guangzhou operations

May 06, 2019: To stimulate trade movement to and from the Asian continent, Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (Saudia Cargo) has resumed its freighter operations to Mumbai, India and Guangzhou, China with weekly flight service. The service aims to meet the growing demand for cargo operations, in addition to the already operating five weekly flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh & seven weekly flights to Hong Kong.

Omar Hariri, CEO, Saudia Cargo, said, "This operation reflects the company's policy aiming to enhance and increase trade activities between the Kingdom & both countries. Saudia will mobilise its logistical capabilities to and from both destinations, adding an extra weekly freighter flight to Guangzhou operated by a B777F aircraft & another to Mumbai, operated by a B747-400F, offering an estimated 100 tonnes of capacity to each destination in addition to the belly-capacity on board of Saudia passenger flights."

During this year, Saudia Cargo strengthened its presence in the Asian continent to fill the exceeding demand for air Cargo & logistical services through the belly-capacity on-board Saudi Arabian Airlines that operates 480 weekly flights with the capacity of 5,836 tonnes a week to and from 21 destinations in Asia.

Saudi's national air freight carrier offers 225 international destinations & 26 routes within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and globally across 900 destinations in more than 175 countries.
