Western Carriers to launch fuzzy logic for logistics transformation

Western Carriers India is developing a fuzzy logic model to enhance India’s logistics sector. During an interaction with Indian Transport and Logistics News on the sidelines of the Indian Chamber of Commerce Global Business Summit, Kanishka Sethia, CEO and Director of Western Carriers said, “The company is working in fuzzy logic and aims to build predictive logic, which can be the future of the logistics sector in the next 4-5 years.”

Speaking about the broader national context, Sethia noted the rapid growth of the Indian logistics sector, calling it one of the world's fastest-growing industries.
He said that it is expanding at about 11% CAGR and is expected to reach $380 billion by the end of the year. He noted that this growth is due to a lot of positive moves by the government, including initiatives like the National Logistics Plan, the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana, and the Multimodal Logistics Park.
Sethia also highlighted key indicators of progress, citing a record-breaking 145 million tonnes of cargo moved via Indian waterways. He proudly mentioned India's ascent to the 38th position in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index, a significant improvement from its previous standing.
