MatchLog, DD Khosla partner to boost container reuse in Punjab
MatchLog teams with DD Khosla to improve container reuse, reduce empty runs, and enhance logistics efficiency in Punjab
MatchLog has entered into a strategic collaboration with DD Khosla to strengthen container reuse and improve fleet network efficiency across Punjab, aiming to reduce empty container movements and enhance logistics performance in the region.
The partnership will see DD Khosla work closely with MatchLog to enable more frequent and reliable street turns across Punjab’s trade lanes. This will ensure that import containers are matched efficiently with export demand, instead of being repositioned empty to ports or inland container depots. The initiative combines MatchLog’s STinder technology platform with DD Khosla’s transporter network and operational presence to improve asset utilisation and reduce repositioning costs for hauliers and cargo owners.
The collaboration also includes MiSTY Yard Services, which are designed to improve yard turnaround times and provide better control over container dwell and positioning. In addition, the partnership will offer value-added logistics support, including coordination, documentation and end-to-end management of container flows. DD Khosla will also support the expansion of MatchLog’s transporter and fleet partner network in Punjab, helping connect trucking operators to more consistent freight opportunities while reducing empty return trips.
Harsh Vardhan Gupta, Co-founder and India CEO, MatchLog, said that Punjab’s strong import-export activity creates a solid base for high-frequency container reuse. He added that DD Khosla’s local presence and fleet relationships are key to achieving this, with a shared focus on delivering measurable improvements such as fewer empty kilometres, shorter yard turnaround times and more predictable load continuity for transporters.
The collaboration highlights MatchLog’s ongoing efforts to advance container reuse through partnerships with established regional operators. Both companies plan to expand their programmes and industry outreach to encourage wider adoption of digital container reuse solutions across Punjab’s logistics sector.
