Jonathan Song, the newly appointed CEO of the Global Business Division at South Korea-headquartered CJ Logistics, recently concluded a high-level visit to India from July 29 to 31. This visit marks a key milestone in the company’s international expansion efforts and highlights the strategic importance of the Indian market within CJ Logistics’ global network. It also reinforces the Group’s long-term commitment to collaboration in India through its subsidiary, CJ Darcl Logistics (CJ Darcl), according to an official release from CJ Darcl.

During his three-day visit, Song held strategic meetings with the CJ Darcl management team and engaged with key customers to understand evolving logistics needs, explore areas of synergy, and strengthen business alignment across the market.

A seasoned logistics leader with over three decades of global experience across 60+ countries, Song brings a hands-on, field-driven approach to strategic growth. His visit emphasised ongoing efforts to foster knowledge transfer, enable scalable solutions, and promote cross-border synergies between India and the broader CJ Logistics global network.

India’s fast-evolving logistics landscape, driven by infrastructure upgrades and a robust multimodal framework, remains a strategic priority in CJ Logistics’ global growth agenda. During his visit, Song emphasised the Group’s focus on advancing technology-led service delivery, expanding fourth-party logistics (4PL) capabilities, and elevating the omnichannel customer experience in alignment with its global benchmarks, the release added.

“India represents immense opportunity through its expanding infrastructure and digitally agile customer base. We are committed to empowering our teams, building meaningful partnerships, and driving solutions that reflect global best practices and local relevance,” says Jonathan Song, CEO, Global Business Division, CJ Darcl.
