E-commerce and retail platform Unicommerce announced a strategic partnership on 7 October with kidswear brand Gini & Jony to streamline its online operations and scale its digital presence across India.

According to the press release, Unicommerce’s technology solutions will help Gini & Jony to manage its inventory more accurately across all channels. Gini & Jony has implemented Unicommerce’s multi-channel order and warehouse management systems to enable faster fulfilment, real-time inventory tracking, and seamless processing for orders received from its brand website and multiple marketplaces.

The partnership aims to deliver faster, more reliable deliveries and an improved overall shopping experience for customers.

The move addresses the unique challenges of the kidswear segment. Unlike adult fashion, kidswear requires frequent design changes, seasonal collections, and quick turnarounds due to evolving trends and complex, age-specific sizing—all of which make inventory management and forecasting a complex task, according to the press release.

“The apparel segment is often cited as one of the most challenging areas to manage within e-commerce,” said Kapil Makhija, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Unicommerce. “This is due to a combination of factors which Unicommerce solves for.”

This partnership is set against the backdrop of a booming market. India’s kids’ apparel sector, valued at $24.56 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $29.35 billion by 2030.

Harsh Agarwal, CEO of Gini & Jony said, “Our focus is to increase our revenue share from our online channels, and this partnership will help us enhance

our digital capabilities, streamline operations, and reach a wider customer base more efficiently.”
