SolitAir, the UAE-based cargo airline, has signed an agreement with World Star Aviation to add two Boeing 737-800 freighters, a move that will enhance its capacity to serve key trade routes linked to India and the wider Global South. The first aircraft joined the fleet earlier this month, while the second is set for delivery in October.

The addition will strengthen SolitAir’s operations across critical cargo markets. By the end of October, the airline’s operational fleet will rise to seven Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters, which are based at its 220,000-square-foot logistics hub in Dubai World Central.

Hamdi Osman, Founder and CEO of SolitAir, said the partnership with World Star Aviation marks a milestone in the airline’s growth journey. He added that the expanded fleet will allow SolitAir to provide faster, more efficient and reliable cargo solutions to trade partners.

Yoram Allalouf, Partner at World Star Aviation, noted that the agreement reflects confidence in SolitAir’s long-term vision and confirmed WSA’s commitment to the partnership.

SolitAir has set its sights on operating a fleet of 20 aircraft by 2027. The airline plans to connect over 50 cities within a six-hour flying radius from Dubai, a network that holds importance for India given its strong trade flows through the UAE.

The carrier’s fleet is designed to handle diverse cargo, including pharmaceuticals, e-commerce goods and hazardous materials, ensuring safe and efficient transport across regional trade corridors.
