S J Logistics (India) has successfully signed its first voyage charter fixture note. The charter, organised through its wholly owned subsidiary S J Logisol Shipping Dubai in partnership with Nexus Line Freight Broker, will operate under the newly launched Suez Express Service. The vessel’s maiden voyage is scheduled between 25 and 30 October 2025.
The service will follow the rotation: Jebel Ali–Kandla–Jeddah–Alexandria–Jebel Ali, strengthening maritime trade between the Gulf, India, Africa and the Red Sea region. This initiative promises faster, more reliable, and cost-effective movement of containerised cargo, connecting key global markets.
Through Jeddah, the service will reach ports in the Red Sea and Horn of Africa, including Port Sudan, Aden, Djibouti, and Berbera. Via Alexandria, it will cover North Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Southern Europe, including Ambarli, Iskenderun, Mersin, Safiport Derince, Novorossiysk, Moscow, Beirut, Lattakia, Misurata, and Benghazi. The extensive network ensures seamless trade flows between Africa, Asia, and the Red Sea region.
In India, the initial focus will be on the North and West regions, leveraging existing infrastructure and customer networks, with plans to expand to the Eastern and Southern regions over time. This phased approach aims to maintain operational efficiency while ensuring reliable and timely delivery.
This launch also marks S J Logistics’ strategic forward integration from freight forwarding and NVOCC services into direct vessel operations. The move will allow the company to exercise greater control over scheduling, routing, and cargo management, offering customised logistics solutions and optimising operational efficiency.
Commenting on the development, Rajen Shah, Promoter & Managing Director of S J Logistics (India), said, “The Suez Express Service represents our next step toward a unified logistics ecosystem bridging the Gulf, India, Africa, and the Red Sea region. By integrating vessel operations, we can offer greater control, reliability, and efficiency to our customers, while unlocking new trade routes and growth opportunities.”
The company aims to build a fully integrated logistics and shipping ecosystem, providing end-to-end solutions under one roof and delivering sustainable value to stakeholders.
