Nike and ONE extend partnership for low-emission shipping

 Ocean Network Express (ONE) has extended its strategic partnership with Nike, deploying its sustainable shipping solution, ONE LEAF+, to further support Nike’s environmental goals.

The service, designed to help customers reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, uses biofuels certified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC). ONE LEAF+ allows partners to cut emissions by up to 84% compared with Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) and provides independently verified certificates to track progress.

Gilberto Santos, Senior Vice President, Global Key Account Sales at ONE, said the partnership shows how companies can work together to build environmentally responsible supply chains and reduce carbon emissions from maritime transport.

ONE has been providing key shipping services for Nike since 2018. In 2024, the collaboration expanded to include reduced-emission shipping using biofuels, reflecting both companies’ commitment to decarbonisation. ONE LEAF+ represents ONE’s continued efforts to advance a more sustainable global supply chain and minimise its environmental footprint.
