Blue Dart, South Asia’s express air and integrated transportation company, has opened its largest Green Integrated Ground Hub in Pataudi, Haryana, aiming to boost efficiency and connectivity across its nationwide network while advancing sustainability.

The state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated on 10 October, brings multiple operations under one roof and features advanced automation to increase throughput by up to 15%. Strategically located 50 km from New Delhi airport, the hub reduces vehicle movement by 30% and optimises delivery routes, making it a key logistics centre for North India.

Spanning 50,558 square metres, the hub handles e-commerce, domestic express, and ground shipments in a consolidated operation. It can process 200,000 shipments daily and manage 2,283 tons of cargo, with a design future-ready until 2033. The facility’s automation includes motorised conveyors and streamlined load handovers that cut dwell time and improve operational speed.

Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, said the hub represents “sustainability, automation, and scalability,” enabling faster and more reliable deliveries while supporting India’s economic and environmental goals. He added that it strengthens Blue Dart’s role as a trade facilitator across the country.

The Pataudi hub incorporates GoGreen initiatives such as a 600 KVA rooftop solar plant, onsite EV charging, and natural skylights to reduce energy consumption. Consolidating operations and lowering vehicle trips further reduces fuel use and emissions, contributing to Blue Dart’s 2050 net-zero target.

With over 250 ground routes, eight dedicated freighters, and service to more than 19,000 pin codes, Blue Dart continues to expand its infrastructure to meet India’s growing logistics demand. The launch of the Pataudi facility reinforces the company’s leadership in sustainable and technology-driven express logistics.
