StoreMyGoods expands warehouse footprint to 4 lakh sq ft.
StoreMyGoods has significantly scaled its Indian operations, adding 1.5 lakh sq. ft. of warehouse space across six major cities to meet rising consumer demand.

StoreMyGoods, a prominent player in the organised storage sector, announced a substantial expansion of its warehousing facilities across India. Over the past two months alone, the enterprise has successfully added 1.5 lakh square feet of new warehouse space to its burgeoning portfolio. This aggressive expansion strategy brings the company’s total storage capacity to an impressive 4 lakh square feet, underscoring its rapid growth trajectory and its commitment to addressing the escalating demand for secure, professional storage solutions across the subcontinent.
The recent scaling of operations involves both the reinforcement of existing networks and a strategic entry into fresh territory. StoreMyGoods has secured and opened new leased facilities in five major urban centres where it already maintains a strong operational footprint: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Noida. In addition to fortifying these existing markets, the company has marked a significant milestone by opening its inaugural facility in Chennai, thereby expanding its reach into a crucial southern market. This geographically diverse expansion enables the firm to better serve a significantly wider base of both individual consumers and corporate clients.
Strategically positioned in well-connected suburban and industrial corridors, these new warehouses are designed to dramatically improve logistical accessibility. For corporate clients, this proximity is paramount. It allows businesses to manage inventory fluctuations with greater agility, respond to seasonal demand spikes efficiently, and accommodate growing storage requirements without the prohibitive overheads of purchasing their own real estate. The augmented capacity acts as a vital support system, assisting the enterprise in acquiring new customers while simultaneously consolidating its market presence in these highly competitive metropolitan cities.
Security and modern inventory management remain at the very core of the company’s operational ethos. Recognising that trust is paramount in the storage industry, StoreMyGoods has ensured that the majority of its new facilities are situated within secure, gated compounds. These sites employ a robust, multi-layered security approach that combines traditional manual supervision with state-of-the-art, technology-enabled surveillance systems. Furthermore, the company heavily leverages digital inventory tracking to provide its clients with unprecedented visibility and granular control over their stored possessions. Looking towards the future, the organisation is actively planning to develop even more customer-centric warehouse environments. These upcoming designs will feature exclusive, designated areas for customers, thereby elevating the overall storage experience to new industry standards.
Addressing the driving forces behind this accelerated growth, Sudeep Gupta, Founder of StoreMyGoods, stated: “Demand in our existing cities has grown faster than we had projected, prompting us to revise our expansion plans. With increasing mobility and shrinking urban spaces, more people are looking for safe and reliable storage solutions. We are exploring new cities to make organised storage more accessible and cater to these evolving needs.
The largely unorganised storage market is also seeing a growing preference for secure, organised facilities. Our customer portal enables item-level tracking, offering greater visibility and peace of mind. At the same time, the growth of small businesses under initiatives such as Make in India has created a need for flexible storage options, particularly for businesses that may not have the resources to maintain their own warehouses. We aim to cater to the storage requirements of businesses of all sizes, alongside individual customers.”
This perspective highlights a pivotal shift in Indian market dynamics. As the domestic storage sector transitions from largely unorganised, fragmented operations to formalised, technology-driven services, consumers and businesses alike are demanding higher standards of accountability and care. The integration of customer portals for item-level tracking directly answers this call for transparency. Simultaneously, government-led macroeconomic programmes have spawned a new generation of agile businesses that require scalable infrastructure capable of adapting to their growth.
Looking ahead, this recent capacity augmentation is merely one phase of a much broader, ambitious roadmap. Factoring in historical growth trends and the continuously evolving demands of a mobile, modernising population, StoreMyGoods has set a formidable target for the near future. The company aims to operate more than 10 lakh square feet of premium storage space by the end of the financial year 2029, setting the stage for a revolution in how the nation manages its space and inventory.
