Turkish Cargo adds sixth Boeing-777 Freighter to fleet

October 15, 2019: Turkish Cargo has inducted the sixth Boeing-777 Freighter, capable of carrying 102 tonnes, into its fleet.

The Boeing-777 Freighter, which took off from Everett Paine Airport (Seattle/USA) and landed at Ataturk Airport earlier this month, falls under the new-generation freighter category and is equipped with a high level of fuel-saving and technical safety.

According to the data obtained by World Air Cargo Data (WACD), the international air cargo data provider, in August, Turkish Cargo has increased its tonnage rate by 7.5 percent, ranking 7th across the air cargo market which has shrunk by -7.1 percent.

Turkish Cargo took delivery of its first Boeing-777F freighter in 2017 and will have a total of eight Boeing-777 Freighters by 2020. The airline has a fleet of 344 aircraft including 24 freighters.
