Shipping Corporation of India reports 35% net loss in Q2 FY26

The company's operational revenue decreased by 8%, and H1 experienced a 10.4% decline.

The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), an Indian public sector undertaking, reported a consolidated net loss of 35% at ₹189 crore for the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2 FY26) compared to a net profit of ₹291 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company's operational revenue also saw a drop, at ₹1,339 crore for Q2 FY26, an 8% decrease from ₹1,451 crore reported in Q2 FY25. Total income for the quarter was marginally lower, registering a 4% flat drop to ₹1,436 crore as against ₹1,491 crore in the year-ago period.

The financial results for the first half of the fiscal year (H1 FY26) the revenue of SCI's first-half revenue was ₹2,654 crore, marking a 10.4% decline from the ₹2,965 crore reported in the first two quarters of the previous financial year.

The net profit for the first half also slipped by 10% to ₹519 crore, down from ₹577 crore in H1 FY25.

As of 2:22 PM on November 11, the Shipping Corporation of India share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading at ₹261.15 per share, an increase of 3.22%.
