The Great Eastern Shipping Company (G E Shipping) has entered into a contract to sell the Jag Vishnu, a 2002-built Very Large Gas Carrier with a capacity of approximately 77,922 cbm, to an unaffiliated third party.

While the agreement was finalised on December 26, 2025, the vessel is scheduled for delivery to the new owners during the fourth quarter of FY26.

As of the announcement, the company’s owned fleet consists of 39 vessels totaling 3.17 million dwt, a portfolio that includes 25 tankers, comprised of five crude tankers, 16 product tankers, and four LPG carriers, alongside 14 dry bulk carriers consisting of two Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax, and two Supramax vessels.

This divestment is part of a broader fleet recalibration, as the company has also contracted to acquire a secondhand VLGC and a secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, while simultaneously offloading the Kamsarmax carrier Jag Aarati. All of these pending purchase and sale transactions are slated for completion in Q4 FY26.
