CMA CGM launches TVI service to boost Asia–India trade connectivity
The new TVI service replaces the IEX2 route, connecting manufacturing hubs in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia directly to South India's Chennai and the transshipment hub of Colombo.

Global shipping giant CMA CGM has announced an overhaul of its IEX2 service, relaunching it as the TVI (Thailand-Vietnam-India) service. The upgraded loop is designed to enhance trade connectivity between Southeast Asia, India, and Sri Lanka, offering shippers faster transit times and greater operational flexibility.
The new TVI service replaces the former IEX2 route, extending coverage from key manufacturing hubs in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia directly to the critical South Indian markets of Chennai and the transshipment hub of Colombo.
The revamped service will follow a weekly rotation, linking major export and transshipment ports in the region:
Laem Chabang – Vung Tau – Singapore – Port Klang – Chennai – Colombo – Laem Chabang.
This rotation establishes a reliable corridor for cargo moving into India and Sri Lanka, while simultaneously providing a robust export channel for manufacturers in the Chennai region targeting Southeast Asian markets.
The inaugural voyage of the upgraded service will be led by the vessel m/v CNC JAGUAR, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) at Laem Chabang on December 22, 2025.
