AVG Logistics on 3 December announced a partnership with Nestlé India and Ashok Leyland to launch a dedicated green corridor powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).

The initiative involves the deployment of 50 CNG-powered trucks specifically designated for Nestlé India’s logistics network. This collaboration aims to boost high-volume transport requirements with aggressive carbon reduction goals.

According to a company press release, the new fleet is expected to cover approximately 2.75 lakh kilometers per month. By transitioning from traditional fuel sources to CNG for this corridor, the partnership projects an annual emission reduction of roughly 1.1 lakh kg of CO2.

"By leveraging cost-effective transportation models, technology-led logistics solutions, and green logistics strategies, we aim to continue delivering measurable value to our partners while actively contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future," the company stated.
