Rhenus unveils multi-user pharma central distribution centre in Mumbai
March 17, 2021: Rhenus India recently opened a new multi-user pharmaceutical warehouse in Bhiwandi, Mumbai that offers 2,000 pallet spaces as a central distribution centre for India and neighbouring countries.
Rhenus India inaugurated this warehouse with a very prominent customer, a pre-eminentdistributor inpharmaceutical excipientsand ingredients in the domain ofpersonal careandhome care.
March 17, 2021: Rhenus India recently opened a new multi-user pharmaceutical warehouse in Bhiwandi, Mumbai that offers 2,000 pallet spaces as a central distribution centre for India and neighbouring countries.
“Rhenus India inaugurated this warehouse with a very prominent customer, a pre-eminent distributor in pharmaceutical excipients and ingredients in the domain of personal care and home care. The customer has entrusted Rhenus as their supply chain partner to warehouse their valuable products at the newly commissioned Rhenus Pharma warehouse,” noted Rhenus Spokesperson.
“Bhiwandi has developed into a pan India hub/gateway for India and this facility has strengthened our presence and footprint in this area significantly. International cross border pharma demand is also expected to come up into Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan and this facility allows us to service these markets also with a very degree of compliance and last-mile delivery standards,” he added.
Infrastructure, services of a multi-user facility
- Mother warehouse: Central distribution centre (1,000 plus pallet positions) serving customers located across India and neighbouring countries.
- Pharma – industry-specific: PUF panelled enclosed warehousing area for 300 pallet position serving the pharmaceutical industry.
- Personal care: Ambient storage of selective pallet racking system for 700 pallet positions.
- Caged: A separate caged, cordoned – off storage location, under lock and key for the quarantine area.
