GPLS 2025 to spotlight India’s leadership role in shifting world order
The one-day conference and networking event brings together leaders from pharma, logistics, and policy to address the most urgent challenges facing the sector.

Where does the global pharma supply chain go from here, who will lead it, and how will India respond to the changing world order? These are the questions at the heart of the eighth edition of the Global Pharma Logistics Summit (GPLS), scheduled to take place on September 11, 2025, at the Fairmont Mumbai. The one-day conference and networking event brings together leaders from pharma, logistics, and policy to address the most urgent challenges facing the sector.
This year’s theme, “Leadership amid geopolitical shifts: Steering pharma logistics through uncertainty”, sets the stage for conversations about resilience and responsibility. The global supply chain, long driven by globalisation and low-cost hubs, is now being tested by protectionist trade policies and economic nationalism. GPLS 2025 will explore whether these shifts will fundamentally reshape existing pharma supply chains and how India can move beyond being a low-cost volume supplier to become a proactive global leader.
The day begins with a keynote from Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance. From there, the discussions unfold across five power-packed business sessions, each probing a critical dimension of pharma logistics.
Business Session 1
The first session sets the tone by examining the role of supply chains in serving global healthcare needs amid economic nationalism. Industry leaders from Strides Pharma Science, Piramal Pharma, Olon, Skyways Group, Etihad Cargo, and other major players will weigh in on how the universal mission of healthcare can be met in a world turning inward.
Business Session 2
From there, the focus shifts to the delicate balance of demand, supply, and patient need. Executives from GSK, Koye Pharmaceuticals, Crescent Pharma, Isa Logistics, and Frankfurt Airport, among others, will discuss how to prevent shortages, overstock, and delays while ensuring patients get the right medicine at the right time.
Business Session 3
The afternoon deepens the conversation with a hard look at the growing menace of counterfeit medicines. With voices from Roche, Bajaj Healthcare, Encube Ethicals, PharmaSecure, and Holostik India, the session will explore how stronger logistics systems, smarter tracking, and international collaboration can safeguard patients and protect brands.
Business Session 4
Cold chain integrity then takes centre stage as experts from Alkem Laboratories, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Reliance Life Sciences, Expeditors, Jeena Criticare, and Mumbai Cargo Service Center debate India’s infrastructure readiness to meet tomorrow’s global quality expectations.
Business Session 5
The final business session brings the focus home, reimagining domestic pharma logistics. With leaders from Zuventus Healthcare, JB Chemicals & Pharma, Shalina Healthcare, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, Universal NutriScience, and TCI Express, the discussion will spotlight how digitisation, visibility, and collaboration can help fix India’s fragmented last mile.
Complementing these in-depth panels, GPLS 2025 will also feature sharp, forward-looking presentations. Nibu Alias, CEO of Ikin Global, will present how smart security solutions, from geofencing to tamper alerts, are redefining pharma cargo protection. Vishnu R, Co-Founder & CEO of myGrape, will address hidden risks in the handling and logistics of advanced therapies such as ATMPs, where precision and compliance can mean the difference between life and loss.
