Jeena & Company, a global leader in freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, has officially announced the appointment of Priyank Jain as its new Chief Financial Officer. Based at the company's corporate office in Mumbai, Mr. Jain will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Prediman K. Koul. In this crucial executive position, he will lead the Finance and Accounts function, with the entire financial team reporting directly into him. This strategic leadership addition comes as the company continues to focus on structural growth and legacy building.

Since joining the 125-year-old enterprise, Jain has already been instrumental in driving significant finance transformation. His initial efforts have been deeply focused on streamlining various financial processes across the board and fostering a culture of operational excellence. By implementing these measures, he aims to significantly enhance overall efficiency, ensure strict accountability, and promote informed decision-making across the entire organisation.

Mr. Jain is a highly seasoned corporate finance professional and a qualified Chartered Accountant, bringing to the table over fifteen years of extensive experience spanning finance, accounting, and strategic leadership. He began his career at the SBS Group, joining the organisation as a Manager. During his tenure there, he took on significant responsibilities, successfully handling internal audits and overseeing the meticulous process of account finalisation. Furthermore, he played a major role in mergers and acquisitions, serving as a key driver in expanding the company's operations to different geographical regions. His core competencies include managing end-to-end finance administration, encompassing rigorous cost control, strategic budgeting, comprehensive accounting, tax reporting, and detailed financial analysis.

Following his successful stint at the SBS Group, Jain brought his expertise to BDP International. During his service tenure with the organisation, he took the initiative to set up a comprehensive annual business planning and budgeting process. In addition to this, he introduced a stronger Management Information System (MIS) culture. This strategic move allowed the business to track its operational and financial performance much more closely.

Before making the move to Jeena & Company, his last professional organisation was Mahindra Logistics Ltd., where he joined in the capacity of Deputy General Manager. In this role, he drove critical system and process improvements that successfully delivered meaningful annual cost savings for the business. Jain also helped build an integrated finance system designed to sharpen operational efficiency. Furthermore, he led a pivotal revenue assurance project focused on significantly improving the accuracy of revenue estimates, achieving this through better data extraction and robust validation protocols.

On the academic and professional qualifications front, Jain holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University. He is a certified Chartered Accountant from ICAI Mumbai and also holds a Diploma in IFRS from the UK. Demonstrating his commitment to continuous professional development, he also received specialised training under esteemed faculty at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad while he pursued a Finance leadership programme.

Reflecting on his new role and the responsibilities ahead, Priyank Jain stated: “I am excited and look forward to my journey at Jeena and I am deeply grateful to our Partners and the CEO for showing their trust upon me. Jeena’s 125-year journey will help me witness both the sides of the coin- the old legacy and the digital transformation it is going through. My focus will be on building financial systems and processes that are strong enough to support the company's next phase of growth, while staying true to the discipline and reliability that have defined Jeena for over a century. I look forward to working closely with the leadership team and the finance function to help drive that forward,” says Priyank Jain.

The executive leadership at Jeena & Company shares this optimistic outlook regarding the company's structural future.

Commenting on the appointment, Prediman K. Koul, Chief Executive Officer, Jeena & Company, said, "Priyank brings a strong mix of financial discipline and hands-on operational experience in logistics, which fits well with where we are headed as a business. As we scale toward our next phase of growth, his ability to build robust systems and drive financial rigour will be a real asset to the team."
