Medikabazaar joins hands with Zipline to deliver medical products in Maharashtra

July 10, 2020: B2B medical equipment company Medikabazaar has partnered with American medical product drone delivery company Zipline to pilot drone delivery of medicines and vital medical supplies in Maharashtra.

The pilot is subject to approval from Directorate General of Civil Aviation, said the Livemint report. The company plans to cut down the delivery time of medicines by up to 30 minutes and launch it for commercial operation in 2021.

The drone delivery company will move medical products to more than 100 hospitals on the Medikabazaar platform from two distribution centres in districts of Pune and Nandurbar with 85 kilometres service range.
