Welspun One signs 15,232 sq. ft. lease with Novel Jewels at WTC Thane
The space will support vault-enabled storage and distribution operations, highlighting demand for secure, compliant infrastructure for high-value inventory.

Welspun One has signed a lease agreement with Novel Jewels (NJL), an Aditya Birla Group company, for 15,232 sq. ft. of space at World Trade Center (WTC) Thane. The space at the Grade-A Urban Distribution Centre (UDC) will support the company’s vault-enabled storage and distribution operations.
The transaction reflects the growing preference among businesses handling high-value inventory for institutional-grade, compliant infrastructure that combines security, operational continuity, scalability and proximity to consumption centres within a single ecosystem.
Developed by Welspun One, WTC Thane is India’s first mixed-use ecosystem integrating urban distribution, commerce, workplaces and experience-led business infrastructure under one address. Located in Wagle Estate, one of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s established commercial hubs, the development is designed to support future-ready supply chains requiring secure, scalable and institutional-grade infrastructure.
Novel Jewels will operate from WTC Thane to serve key consumption markets across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The development includes advanced security systems, business continuity infrastructure, life-safety measures and operational features designed for businesses handling high-value inventory. It also features a multi-level ramp that allows 20-foot trucks to access loading docks from levels one to five for seamless inbound and outbound operations.
Commenting on the development, Neeraj Balani, Chief Customer Officer, Welspun One, said, “The partnership with Novel Jewels reflects the versatility of this platform and its ability to support businesses operating in high-value categories that demand security, accessibility and operational excellence. Strategically located in Wagle Estate, WTC Thane provides access to key consumption markets, enabling brands to stay closer to their customers. As the development evolves, we envision it emerging as an ‘India Design Center’ for leading brands.”
Dinesh Dubey, Chief Operating Officer – Incity and Head of Product Innovation, Welspun One, added, “Businesses today are looking for infrastructure that brings operations, accessibility and convenience together. WTC Thane has been planned as an integrated ecosystem where logistics, workplaces and business infrastructure complement each other, enabling occupiers to operate more efficiently. For Novel Jewels, this translates into secure infrastructure, seamless connectivity and proximity to key consumption markets within a single destination.”
The addition of Novel Jewels further strengthens WTC Thane’s tenant mix, reflecting increasing demand from businesses seeking institutional-grade infrastructure in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
