Welspun One and Indev Infra have entered into a strategic partnership with the allotment of 2.10 lakh sq. ft. of Grade A+ space at WTC Nhava Sheva (JNPA SEZ). The space will be used for warehousing and allied logistics operations within a Special Economic Zone, strengthening the project’s position as a port-linked trade and logistics hub.

The development marks an early occupier milestone at WTC Nhava Sheva, which is Welspun One’s largest project in India. It also reflects early traction as demand increases for integrated, port-based infrastructure supporting trade, warehousing and value-added operations within a single ecosystem.

Indev Infra will use the facility as a strategic hub to expand its Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) capabilities. The company will deploy the space for end-to-end integrated logistics and warehousing solutions supported by global practices. The facility will include services such as cold chain and temperature-controlled storage, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and EXIM cargo handling.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Indev Infra’s presence at a key trade gateway and support international trade flows across major markets. It will also enhance its ability to provide port-linked supply chain solutions.

WTC Nhava Sheva is being developed with a project outlay of ₹2,700 crore as an integrated ecosystem for warehousing, manufacturing and commercial operations. The project is supported by NaBFID-backed financing and is designed to enable large-scale trade-led activity.

Commenting on the development, Neeraj Balani, Chief Customer Officer, Welspun One, said the milestone reflects strong occupier validation for the Gateway platform at JNPA SEZ. He said the project spans 55 acres with a development potential of 4.45 million sq. ft. and is designed as an integrated port-linked ecosystem. He added that the SEZ offers duty efficiencies, faster clearances and operational flexibility, enabling occupiers to scale efficiently.

Dr S. Xavier Britto, Chairman, Indev Infra Pvt Ltd, said WTC Nhava Sheva provides a strong platform for the company’s next phase of growth in SEZ and FTWZ-led logistics. He added that the SEZ framework improves efficiency in import-export operations, while Welspun One’s leasing-led model offers a dedicated operating environment that supports independence and control.

JNPA, which handles around one-third of India’s container traffic and is expanding towards a capacity of 10 million TEUs, continues to play a key role in the country’s trade infrastructure. Within this context, WTC Nhava Sheva (JNPA SEZ) is positioned to support India’s next phase of EXIM growth through integrated logistics and industrial infrastructure.
