TransportOne by Delhivery has launched an Autonomous Transport Management System (TMS) that uses AI agents to automate key logistics functions, marking a shift in how enterprises manage freight operations. The platform is designed to move logistics teams from manual intervention to automated execution across planning, procurement, and settlement processes.

The system enables enterprise shippers to use AI agents for rate negotiation, shipment planning, and invoice reconciliation. According to the company, the platform reduces manual effort by automating freight procurement, execution, and compliance within a single workflow. Unlike traditional transport management systems that depend on constant human input, the new platform operates on a manage-by-exception model.

“Traditional TMS platforms digitise transportation workflows, but they still rely on humans to operate them, forcing users to work for the system rather than the system working for the user,” said Uday Anand, Vice President of Product at TransportOne. “TransportOne by Delhivery’s TMS runs those workflows autonomously. The system’s AI Agents plan, negotiate, monitor, and validate freight in the background, escalating only true exceptions. Users shift from operating the system to supervising outcomes.”

The platform uses a multi-agent structure, with separate agents handling procurement, execution, and billing. Procurement agents manage spot bidding and carrier selection. Execution agents track shipments and address delays. Invoice agents reconcile freight bills using contract terms, GPS data, and proof of delivery.

According to the company, the system is designed to reduce revenue leakage caused by rate mismatches and billing discrepancies. It also removes the need for conventional dashboards, allowing users to interact with the system through Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp using natural language commands.

TransportOne positions the platform as an autonomous operator rather than a reporting tool, with human involvement limited to cases that require decision-making. The company said the approach is intended to streamline logistics operations while improving control and compliance across transport workflows.

TransportOne is part of Delhivery, which operates a nationwide logistics network covering close to 19,000 pin codes. The company provides services across express parcel, freight, cross-border logistics, supply chain management, and technology solutions and has handled more than four billion shipments to date.
