Haryana's State Skill Competitions 2026 in Logistics and Freight Forwarding were recently concluded, with Om Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, an initiative of Om Logistics, playing a key role in the execution of the event in collaboration with the Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM).

Hosted at the institute’s Jamalpur campus in Gurugram, the competition brought together enthusiastic young talent from across Haryana, offering a dynamic platform to demonstrate skills aligned with one of India’s fastest-growing sectors — logistics and supply chain management. The event served as a qualifying stage for the prestigious India Skill Competition.

The collaboration blended government-led skilling vision with strong industry execution. Participants were evaluated through a structured, multi-stage process comprising a written assessment, group discussion and interview rounds. The format was designed to assess technical expertise, communication ability and real-world logistics problem-solving skills.

Evaluation was carried out under the supervision of a three-member jury panel representing academia, industry and HSDM, ensuring transparency, fairness and industry relevance throughout the competition.

Sharing his perspective on the initiative, Himanshu Agarwal, National HR Head, said, “This initiative reflects our long-term belief that skill development must be purposeful, industry-driven and deeply collaborative. We are fully aligned with the government’s vision and are committed to working more aggressively and in close partnership to create scalable, high-impact skilling platforms. Our focus is not just on competitions, but on building a continuous pipeline of capable, confident and industry-ready logistics professionals who can support India’s growth story.”

Beyond assessment, candidates received focused domain guidance that helped them approach complex logistical scenarios with confidence. The top-performing participants will now advance to the national stage, carrying forward Haryana’s logistics talent to a larger platform.

"The successful completion of the State Skill Competitions highlights the growing role of industry-backed institutions like Om Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in supporting national skill development priorities and preparing a resilient, future-ready logistics workforce," reads the release.
