Maersk opens major flagship logistics centre in Shanghai’s Lin-gang
Maersk invests over USD 140 million in a new omnichannel fulfilment hub to boost efficiency and global trade connectivity.

Maersk has inaugurated its flagship logistics centre in Shanghai’s Lin-gang area, marking one of its largest global warehousing investments and reinforcing China’s growing influence on international trade. Built with an investment of over USD 140 million, the new facility spans 113,000 square metres and provides 147,000 square metres of storage space.
From an Indian perspective, the development strengthens the flow of Asia-Pacific and China-linked trade lanes that are crucial for Indian exporters and importers. The Lin-gang centre offers a full suite of fulfilment services and is integrated into Maersk’s wider logistics network, enabling businesses in China, across Asia-Pacific, and beyond to improve efficiency, flexibility, and resilience.
Maersk stated that the Lin-gang centre marks a major milestone in its integrated logistics strategy for the Chinese market. The company highlighted China’s dual role as the world’s largest exporter and a key consumer market, noting that the new omnichannel fulfilment capabilities will enhance China’s connectivity with global markets. According to the company, the facility reflects its commitment to advancing logistics solutions and supporting customers in navigating trade challenges and exploring new growth opportunities.
