Kakinada Gateway Port Limited (KGPL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Green Fuel Global Trading to develop a marine fuel facility and liquid storage terminal at Kakinada Gateway Port. The MoU was signed by Ram Reddy Ojili, Director & CEO of Kakinada Gateway Port, and Sudhakar, Managing Director of Green Fuel Global Trading.

The proposed project involves an investment of ₹5 billion and will have a storage capacity of approximately 150,000 kilolitres. The facility is expected to strengthen the port’s capabilities in marine fuel handling, liquid bulk storage and related logistics operations.

The development is also projected to generate employment opportunities and improve liquid bulk logistics in the region. With the new facility, Kakinada Gateway Port aims to reinforce its position as a strategic maritime energy hub on India’s east coast.

The investment is expected to support India’s growing trade and energy requirements while contributing to the expansion of maritime infrastructure and supply-chain capabilities in Andhra Pradesh.
