Dhillon Freight Carrier (DFC), a regional logistics and transportation company, has acquired around 18,000 sq. ft. of land in Howrah, West Bengal, from South City Anmol Infra Park LLP. The move is part of DFCL’s strategy to enhance its warehousing and distribution capabilities in eastern India, according to an official release from DFC.

Construction of the new warehouse is planned to start in the current financial year, with completion expected within 10–12 months, pending necessary government approvals. Once operational, the facility will allow DFC to manage larger volumes, optimise operations, and provide improved services to its expanding client base in the region.

“With the completion of this project, our company will be well-positioned to manage higher volumes and enhance service levels, particularly for clients from the textile and steel clusters in and around Chamrail, Howrah, Dankuni, Durgapur, and Uluberia,” says Mukesh Kumar Agarwal, CFO of Dhillon Freight Carrier.

This expansion marks a significant step forward in DFC’s strategy to scale its operations and build robust infrastructure to support the increasing demand for logistics services in India.
