Allcargo Logistics has reported growing demand for integrated supply chain solutions from India’s consumer durables sector and is expanding its technology-enabled distribution network to support rising shipment volumes, particularly during the summer season.
The company said increasing urbanisation, growing adoption of digital commerce, and changing consumption patterns are driving demand across appliances, electronics, home equipment and white goods categories. This is creating a greater need for agile and scalable logistics solutions capable of handling high-volume distribution across different markets.
According to the company, the ongoing summer season has further increased the movement of consumer durable products, highlighting the need for efficient logistics networks to support timely replenishment of inventory across markets.
Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO of Allcargo Logistics, said the consumer durables sector requires supply chains that are agile, technology-enabled and capable of scaling across diverse consumption markets. He said expanding distribution networks in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, along with seasonal demand peaks, are making technology-enabled logistics increasingly important for improving inventory flow and replenishment efficiency.
Allcargo Logistics supports consumer durable brands through its domestic supply chain, express distribution and consultative logistics businesses. The company provides customised supply chain, warehousing and distribution solutions across metropolitan and emerging markets. It currently operates a network of 76 distribution and technology-enabled transshipment facilities to support inventory movement and regional market access.
The company’s integrated logistics network combines warehousing, first- and last-mile connectivity, air express and ground express services. It has expanded and recategorised its transshipment centres from 21 to 71 locations. Its recently launched Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network now covers 100 per cent of India’s available PIN codes.
Mapped PIN codes have increased from 21,000 to more than 32,000, while direct serviceable PIN codes have grown from 4,900 to more than 10,000 through Allcargo Distribution Centres.
The company said it supports higher shipment volumes during peak consumption periods such as festive sales and seasonal demand cycles, helping consumer durable brands achieve faster replenishment and improved inventory turnover. It added that the ongoing summer season and forecasts of above-normal temperatures in several parts of the country are contributing to stronger demand for cooling appliances and faster retail replenishment cycles.
Allcargo Logistics said it continues to invest in digital integration and operational visibility through technology platforms that offer real-time cargo tracking, integrated operational systems and cloud-enabled infrastructure. These capabilities are aimed at improving supply chain planning, shipment visibility and operational efficiency.
The company said its consultative logistics model allows it to design customised supply chain solutions that address varying inventory cycles, seasonal demand fluctuations and multi-location distribution requirements within the consumer durables sector.
Part of the Allcargo Group, the company said it continues to provide integrated supply chain solutions designed to support the evolving needs of India’s consumption-driven economy.
